“A coordinated home furnishing project sounded simple until we looked at the access and the existing services. We wanted to give the kitchen, bedrooms and living area a shared material direction. Those constraints were dealt with in the drawings, so fitting day was calm and well organised. They did not promise that the first sketch was perfect. The second version was much better because it reflected how we actually use the room.”
